As part of signing up to create an EasyRent account, you'll need to let us know your Instagram handle (account name). We'll email you a verification code after you've signed up, which you're required to message to us on Instagram @EasyRent.anz in order for your account to be verified.

We're a platform that connects people heading away for 1-3 months and leaving their room or apartment rentals empty, with people looking for a place to stay for 1-3 months.

Those heading away can list their rental on EasyRent and we’ll connect them with people looking for stays, who’ll move in and sublet the rental, covering the rent of the people away.

We only connect the best fit people and have a set of easy steps to ensure you the sublet goes smoothly and securely.

We don’t automatically charge cleaning fees because we require you to leave your EasyRent stay in the same level of cleanliness as that on move in. If not, the EasyRent lister can contest your automatic security deposit refund and we will deduct a cleaning fee from your security deposit.

What if I don’t yet have an Australian bank account?

  • A lot of EasyRenters also pay us through Revolut (if you’re Irish), Monzo (if you’re British) or Wise (if you’re from other countries), as nice ways to avoid international bank fees if you’re paying from your home country bank through an international banking payment.

  • If you’d prefer to pay us through international banking you’re welcome to do so but just make sure you cover the international fee.

If you’re paying through Revolut, Monzo, Wise or international banking, there’ll be a slight delay in receiving your payments so just make sure you send a screenshot of the payment to us at @easyrent.nz on Instagram.

    • Where and when you’ll meet them for this

    • How many sets of keys there are

  2. Wifi information

  3. Where the bins are stored and when collection days are

  4. Where the laundry is (if the EasyRent lister doesn’t have their own)

  5. If there are plants that need to be watered

  6. Whether bedding/towels are provided (this is the expectation)

  7. Any miscellaneous property specific things

  8. What time and date the EasyRent lister will be returning home and how key handover at the end of your stay can work

This is an agreement between you (the EasyRenter) and the EasyRent lister, outlining the following:

  • Your address

  • Move in and out dates

  • Weekly rent and dates

  • Security deposit amount

  • Cleanliness requirements

  • Our 4 weeks’ notice cancellation policy

Rent in your final week will be prorated so you’re only paying for the exact amount of time you’ll be staying.

To make your move in as easy as possible, first week rent will be due the day after move in and this first day will be paid for in the final week of rent. Bills are included in the listed weekly rent amount so you won’t need to pay these separately during your stay.
